Congratulations to Ken Markert on achieving another Paul Harris Fellowship—an incredible reflection of his ongoing commitment to service above self. Cody Rotary President Brett Whitlock recognized Ken at our weekly luncheon last Thursday at the The Irma Hotel. Ken shared that his continued support of the Rotary International Foundation is driven by Rotary’s global effort to eradicate polio through the PolioPlus program. It’s a mission that’s deeply personal—both his father and uncle were affected by polio.
Because of decades of work by Rotary International and its partners, polio has been reduced by more than 99% worldwide. Today, it remains endemic in just a couple of countries—a milestone that puts us closer than ever to complete eradication. Rotarians like Ken are helping finish the job.
