Vinny Harte, Director of Wellspring in Hull, gives a heartfelt thank you on behalf of the families who benefit from the Wellspring food pantry as well as the Hingham Interfaith Food Pantry..............

Vinny Harte thanked the members of the club for their ongoing support of Wellspring and its various programs. He spoke about the food pantry and how the donations given are used immediately by the recipients. He noted that the food pantry is always in need of donations as the beneficiaries have not gone down in number. In fact more families and individuals visit the food pantry than in years past. The food pantry is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and visitors can choose their products instead of being given a preprepared bag of goods. Vinny added that this open choice style at the pantry has helped the visitors maintain their dignity while ensuring sufficient nutrition for their famiies. Fellow club members inquired about the the transportation program the club had sponsored in the past. After hearing that a new vehicle would be needed in the near future, Rotarians requested that the board consider assisting in the funding of the new vehicle. The board will discuss this topic at its next board meeting scheduled for Thursday December 12th.
