Belize Scholarship Winners
Jack Barnes, the Rotary Club of San Ignacio, announces the winners of this year's Belize Scholarship.
Message from Jack Barnes:
"Well, another School years is well underway and I want to take this opportunity to introduce the NEW Hingham-Hull Rotary Scholars in the way of their pictures and introduction letters.
Hingham-Hull will be receiving "progress report" letters from all of your Scholars midway thru the 1st Semester."
Message from Harold Lincoln:
"Here is the latest update on our Belize scholarship program. This is something which our Club has been doing on an on-going basis since it was initiated by Dave Powers and me during Dave's presidency in 2003/4 yet I think most of our members today are totally unaware of it. We used to ask the members to make donations to cover the cost (Maureen and John Connolly used to donate the cost of one full scholarship for example) but that has fallen into abeyance. I do think we should make a splash of the new scholars we are supporting. We also used to encourage our members to write to individual children to encourage them."
