INVOCATION: We opened the meeting with our pledge, as well as a wonderful short invocation by Bill Choler motivating us to do our best.

Happy Buck: I announced that on September 26th, (my anniversary) Friday that the Stow Murnoe Falls Community Foundation will be having our “OctoBEERFest” Tickets are $40 3 beers and tastings, $30 1 full beer and tastings, and $25 for non drinkers. PRESIDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS: Jim Callahan thanked Roger Cline for typing up ways to make e-makeups. It is attached. Thanked Bob Oborn for increasing membership in Interact, its now up to 30 high school students. Please sign up to be a Rotarian visitor to the meetings they are Monday Afternoons 2:35-3:15.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors: John Pribonic shared that the home that was struck by the tornado the organization is issuing $500 to that victim here in our community.

INTRODUCTION SPEAKER: Bill Choler got acquainted with Angel through the United Disability Services Board. Four years ago he joined the Board and they have helped fund Angel and her philosophy on teaching. Founder and Principle of United Disability Steel Academy. Angel Lawrie.
SPEAKER: She is a teacher of 25 years. She has been all over the world performing with her steel drums, and working with children. She is a University of Akron graduate, and a few months from her PHD. The group she leads is called the Steel Angels. All of the children have a learning disability of some sort ADD ADHD Autism Aspergers or Gifted. She has opened a new school for children with learning disabilities, and these children are learning quicker and in a better environment. UDS and Steel Academy Inc. are both non profits so you don't have some of the issues as you do with typical charter schools. The UDS gave them the start up money to start the school, $250k. She is currently at 85 students, and will be at capacity at 120. What she is doing with these children is just amazing. Its a one of a kind school for these type of children and this philosophy. She is changing families and changing lives. Sorry I didn't type more, I was so focused on her content, she is amazing.
