INVOCATION: Tom Loepp gave a wonderful invocation. 

 

GUEST ANNOUNCER:  Tom Loepp gave us the "Tommy Show" today as he always does. Its Bruce Redmon’s Birthday we sang to him. Rotary anniversaries Bruce Hill, Christina Gary, and Doris Stewart. Tom also told a blonde joke about a police officer. We all think he is just “so” hilarious. No Pin Nancy Rice. No Badges Sara Drew, Doris Stewart, and Marty Tass. Happy Buck: Mike Jabbour is celebrating 35 year anniversary for his shop! He’s running a special 35% off so if you need anything stop by! Nancy Rice had the winning ticket and drew the jack of diamonds. 

 

PRESIDENT & ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Board meeting this Friday 7:15 if you would like to join us.  

Mark Lucco: Side Boards for Reverse Raffle please let Mark know you will want to help. Bar and side boards open at 6:00. 

Mike Sekulich:  8 tickets left, he would like to get rid of them. Money and stubs by next Wednesday please. 40 tickets need paid for so please… get it in to us. 

Dave Renninger: Food Bank did announce that the Food Bank voting did get them the 60k and they are very excited. Also sign up for next month for November service. 

Pat Messmore: Announced the football winners. 

Andrea Denton: Happy Buck- She let us know that Linda Nahrstedt placed 3rd in her age group in Akron Marathon, congrats! 

Bob Oborn: Interact Club is now up to 41 members this year, and we are very excited for their growth. Parade for homecoming Rotarians are able to walk with them on Friday, meet at 4:30 at SMFHS. Also if you have signed up see attached for your date. 

Katie Wright:  Rotary Reads project and reading will start next week. 

Karen Monbeck: Please let her know who you want to sit with so there is not a lot of confusion that night. 

Annette Oborn: If you said  you are donating money for silent items please have it next week and give to her. If you have more items to donate, please contact Annette. This all needs wrapped up this week.  

 

SAVE THE DATE:  Rotary Social Night - Monday November 17th, 6:30 at Beef O Braidy's Stow. Join us in watching the Cavs game, and enjoy food and beverages! (Event is sponsored) All Rotarian attendees are encouraged to purchase at least $10 worth of raffle tickets to contribute to future social  event costs. Goal is to have once a month in the evening. Intention is to draw in new members, and will count as a makeup for our members who need them.

We have direct access to all of our water here and that is something that the many other parts of the world don't have. 783 million people lace access to safe drinking water. Every 20 seconds a child under the age of 6 years old dies due to drinking dirty water.  WE can changes lives for $30. WE can provide a lifetime of clean water for one person for only $30. She shared with us some of the places and villages she is helping and what she is doing in Uganda. Her passion and her drive, towards her projects was mesmerizing. I just couldn't take notes.
