After President, Gail Moseley opened our meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, Brad Jagger led us in an invocation.

Gail then welcomed visitors, De-de Mulligan, and David Garver and thanked Steve Dunton and Dave Renninger for getting us checked in this morning.

CELEBRATIONS:
Wedding Anniversaries:   Congratulations to Scott and Diane Miller for 27 years of marriage and to Brad and Kelly Ruth for 26 years.
Birthday:  Bill Choler had a birthday on Monday but was not here today for us to sing to him.

50/50 DRAWING:  With a pot that is over $400, De-de Mulligan drew the king of hearts.  We will try again to find the joker next week.

HAPPY BUCKS:
Brad Jagger told us that his daughter, Rachel has been hired by Disney in Florida, after her previous employment at Busch Gardens as a Scenic Designer.  Getting there was quite an adventure that included living out of her car for a bit.

Dick Hall thanked John Pribonic for his work emceeing the Reverse Raffle and then for helping the 833 people who took hayrides at last week's community event.

Carrie Leising encouraged us to play miniature golf inside the library this Friday from 6:00-8:45 p.m.  and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  This will be a major fundraiser for the library.  Go to smfpl.org to purchase tickets in advance and for further information.  Friday's admission includes golf, Good Day Oven Pizza and Tame's Wild Soda food trucks.

Football Pool Winners:
Week 7 was a by week, but the winners or Week 6 were Ron Dodds, Jen Strakaw, Dale Hammond, Larry Von Stein, Dan Bender, Charles Smith, Tom Heberling and Scott Hamlin.  Note that all of these winners are outside of the club.

Bulldog Bags:  Our next requests from Bulldog Bags are the following:  Fruit cups, cups of soup, lip gloss, kleenex. 3-pack box of microwave popcorn, box of Capri Sun pouches.  Please make sure all items are nut free!  Donations can be taken to the library or to the lobby of City Hall through November 9 for this month's collection.

Dine to Donate: at Dairy Queen on Wednesday, October 26 to benefit Club Interact.  A flier with the complete information is attached to these minutes.

PROGRAM:  Since this week was a club assembly, President Gail Moseley led us in a discussion.

October Board Meeting:  Minutes of last Friday's Board Meeting are attached to these minutes.

Nov. 9  Meeting:  Carrie shared that our meeting that day will be AT THE HIGH SCHOOL so that we may see the Teacher Supply Closet run now by Club Interact.  We will meet at 7:30 for a breakfast catered by Bellacinos.  A sign-up sheet will be passed around for the number attending so that Bellacinos can plan.  There were already 54 orders submitted last month, and Carrie has had some requests for special needs.  This is the result of the Stuff the Bus campaign, so we will want to see this and learn how it operates.

Reverse Raffle/Silent Auction:  Rich Bedell reported that profits should be between $16,000 and $17,000, but that it is a little too soon to have a final account.  We do know that the Silent Auction brought in $3085, the live auction of a week at Brad Ruth's place in Huron raised $1650, the sideboards, $1500, the duck pond, $620 and bingo, $540.  So many people worked to make the auction a success but Bob and Annette Oborn did an amazing job of leading the event.

"Interaction" will take place on Saturday, November 19 at the high school and will require Rotarians to volunteer as our Club Interact hosts clubs from around the district.

Foodbank:  We will continue to have our volunteer time at the Foodbank on the first Wednesday of each month from 4:40 to 6:30.  Mary Dula expained that it is important that we volunteer as often as possible since the Interact students no longer have bus transportation available.

At the Reverse Raffle last week the club received a plaque in recognition of being designated as the Volunteer Group of the Year by the Akron-Canton Foodbank.  Dave Renninger who began the effort and Mary Dula, current chair received the award on behalf of the club.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing:  Mary told us that we are confirmed to ring bells at Acme in Stow on the four Saturdays starting with Nov. 26.  The hours will be from 9:00 to 4:00 each day in four hour shifts.  Two Rotarians will be needed for each shift.  Sign-up began today.

Facebook and Other Social Media:  Gail reported that Annie Hanson and Maria Ferrara will be working on more of a social media presence for our club.

Membership:  Gail reported that De-de Mulligan's application for membership was approved by the board and will be sent out with these minutes today.  (See attachment.)  The club has the next two weeks to get any comments to Gail and then a date will be set for her initiation.  There will also be a committee established who will work on membership with Elizabeth Eaken, Membership Chair.

Cluster Project:  For the next Rotary year, it is our club's turn to recommend a Cluster Project.  That means it would cost each of the six clubs involved about $400 with a $2500 match from the district.  Anyone with ideas should give them to Annette Oborn, President Elect.

Bench Project:  Gail announced that the recycled benches from her project have arrived.  Munroe Falls has already place them in Guise Park and a date for setting them in place in Stow will be established soon.

Fifth Friday "Tootsie" Event:  On November 30 we will not have a morning meeting but instead will attend "Tootsie" at E.J. Thomas Hall in the evening. Tickets are only $15 but must be reserved NOW.  Contact Gail to reserve yours if you have not already done so.  This is a great time to invite guests or prospective members.

Helping Hands Holiday Project:  John Pribonic said that in about two weeks he will have the shopping lists available for our project which will culminate the evening of December 14 at City Hall.

Dictionaries:  Pat Messmore should have them ready to be delivered within the next month.  He will update us when they are delivered, labeled and are ready to go so that we can take them to the schools' third graders.

Calendar:  Gail is working on a master calendar listing all of the club's activities.

Thank You Notes:  We received two thank yous from the Community Learning Center in Stow where we refurbished their playground and also added a bench.

Rubber Ducks Game:  Jeff Film is working on plans for the club to attend a game as a group next summer.

The meeting was adjourned after we recited the Four Way Test together.
