Thank you Ron, for a very interesting talk about your experience with an employee that threatened to shoot someone. Ron's thoughtful approach to dealing with the situation made it so that it ended up being merely a threat and not a reality. He worked with law enforcement, a psychologist, an HR expert and more to decide the best way to confront and speak with this employee and help him understand why he could no longer work for him. Ron also gave us a good reminder that often times people just need to feel some appreciation be shown some kindness to feel as if life is not hopeless.
