President Linda Trevorrow opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Carrie Leising followed with an invocation about recognizing differences.
CELEBRATIONS: Pat Messmore and J.T. Stimler both have birthdays this week.

Meeting Location: Linda said that she is working on the procedures for being able to meet in person again.
District Leadership Assembly: Past District Governor Cheryl Warren reminded us that the District Leadership Assembly will be on Saturday, May 15 from 9:00 until noon. The presidents-elect are required to attend but everyone else is welcome and encouraged to participate. One of the interesting topics will be how to hold a hybrid meeting as we begin to meet in person but also consider offering virtual meetings to those who are not comfortable meeting in person yet. Cereal Serving Competition: Annie Hanson Hilaire reported the results of the cereal challenge between our club, the Kent, Ohio Rotary and the Kent, Washington club. OUR STOW CLUB IS THE WINNER WITH 2333 INDIVIDUAL CEREAL SERVINGS COLLECTED. Thanks to all who donated and especially to Annie who had the idea and spurred us on. Special kudos to the Interact students of out high school who collected about a third of our donations. It is great to have then work with us. The real beneficiaries will be the families in the three communities who suffer from food insecurity and need help right now. Per usual, our club responded when the need was presented.
Heroes Day: Jeff Film told us that we are on track for honoring our area veterans and retired first responders for Heroes Day, May 15. Jeff will need help on Friday after the flowers are available and again on Saturday morning. He will send out an announcement to the club members asking for help when he knows the specific imes we are needed.
Golf Outing: Dick Hall reported that 24 foursomes have already committed to golf on June 7. This week's needs are items for the goodie bags and gift cards in $10 and $25 denominations. The next meeting of the committee will be on May 10th at 5:30 in the Boy Scout building behind Silver Lake Church. Breakfast Donations: It is a new month, so if you wish to participate in the fund that goes to our charitable donations, send your money to Annette Oborn, Treasurer, 381 Silver Valley Blvd, Munroe Falls, OH 44262. This is the money we have contributed during the pandemic instead of spending money on breakfast.
PROGRAM:
For her happiness moment, Carrie told us that she his happy for her daughter, Sienna, who is a senior this year and was able to have prom last Saturday. She also explained the experience of being involved in the Adopt-a-Senior Program and how much fun she has had with that.
Carrie presented the program this morning as she acquainted us with three aspects of Clubrunner. Her goal was to get us to be able to log-in, update our information and to have access to all of the club information from our phones.
Log-In Information

-When you see the log-in box for the first time, type in this information that becomes part of Clubrunner for each new member: Your Login name is your first name, followed by a period followed by your last name followed by a period and then 5221. The beginning of your first and last names must begin with capital letters and must be the same name by which you are registered in the directory. For example, mine would be Andrea.Denton.5221 and not Andy.Denton. The password given to every new person is 5221 but it is suggested that you change that password to make it unique to you.
Putting in that information will take you to the Welcome Site, where you can find helpful topics. That screen lists the executives and directors of the club on the left and gives you upcoming program information on the right, along with information from Rotary International. In the middle are other club particulars including the link to our weekly zoom meetings if for some reason you do not have Linda's weekly bulletin. Carrie pointed out that there are also other things that we can access from this page including committee information. At this point we are not using it, but as we become more familiar with the site, it would be a good goal.
Update Your Information
Click on the Member Area 0tab at the top of the Welcome Screen.
Under the section entitled My Clubrunner, there is an orange box on the right that says Edit Profile. Click on that.
There you will see your photo and all of your information. First of all, check all of your information to make sure that it is correct and update anything that needs to be changed. If you need to change something, click the blue box that says Edit which is on the right hand side of the screen. There are red indicators for the items that must be included. Others are optional. Just so you know, the year of your birth or anniversary is not published in any of the birthday or anniversary announcements. Note that you can choose which phone number, e-mail or mailing address you wish the club to use. When you have completed your changes, be sure to hit the gold "save" button at the bottom of the page. CHECK YOUR INFORMATION TODAY!
If you wish to change your photo...
First of all make sure the photo that you wish to use is on the device from which you are making changes. A way to make this happen is to e-mail the picture you want to use to yourself. Save the picture and remember where you saved it so you can go back to it.
Click the blue update box under your picture in the member profile in Clubrunner.
On the next screen, click on the oval, gray, Choose File indicator. Go to your Photo Library and click on the photo you wish to use. Click Save in Clubrunner. Your old photo will be automatically removed when the new photo 000i0000000.s selected.
As you look at that same page, go across the selections under your photo for other information. The Rotary tab tells you about your Rotary history including when you joined and your member number. The biography section can include any information you wish to share. Just be sure to hit save when you are finished. Each of the other sections can be personalized. Just make sure you hit save for any changes you make. Note that under the Settings tab, you can even create a personalized e-mail signature.
Putting the Clubrunner App on your phone:
For Apple phones, go to the App Store. For Android, go to the App Manager.
Search for Clubrunner and click either download or install. When the installation is finished, click on Open. After you enter your log-in information, you should have the ability to access the directory and make calls from your app, giving you access to the club members from anywhere you have your phone.
