Co-President Steve Dunton led us in the Pledge of Allegiance to call the meeting to order.  Program Host, Dick Hall, followed with the invocation "Do It Anyway.!  Steve then thanked Gail Moseley for welcoming all of our guests this morning.

PROGRAM: Rotarian Dinah Henderson, who is the Advisor of Club Interact, introduced the senior members of that club who were with us this morning to share how the Rotary Four Way Test has prepared them for their journey after high school.  Their proud parents were with them and must have been impressed by what their daughters had to say.

Briana Johnson began by telling us that she is the president of the club and in her four years as a member has volunteered 210 hours.  She is in charge of the Teacher Supply Cupboard which processes about 90 orders per month and has created a spreadsheet so that the project can run more efficiently.  The Stuff the Bus Project stands out as her favorite activity and she will attend Kent State University in the fall to major in actuarial mathematics.  Bri said that she tries to make all of her decisions using the Rotary Four-Way Test.

Nami Miller said that the Four-Way-Test is not something to recite but something she lives her life by.  Recently she organized the talent show that was a huge success.  Her favorite project is creating chemo baskets as part of the Interact District Project. Friendships have increased through Interact and she feels she is now more honest, fair, kinder and more purposeful.  This fall will find Nami at Miami University majoring in architecture.

Kailey Adams has learned about the impact she can have on others as part of Club Interact.  Her favorite activity is volunteering for Book Buddies at the library when children read to therapy dogs.  She commented that both the children and the dogs seem to be excited to be there and the impact on the parents is impressive.  She feels she has made so many new friends, mentors and peers whose influence she will take to Miami University.

Erika Coovert remembers the Haunted Hayride as the event where she first felt connected to the high school as it was her first year here.   She is excited that she has met so many community members, and will be attending the University of Akron in the fall.

Anna Hurst loved doing the holiday cards for nursing home residents.  She pictured the smiles the recipients would have on their faces.  As she starts Kent State University in the fall she will take the influence of the Four-Way Test and Interact who she feels have made her a better person.

Maddie Engle is the vice-president of Interact.  She said that previously she was very shy and appreciates the way she has grown through Club Interact.  She was very inspired by the fall District Interact Conference and feels that the Four-Way Test has helped her to be more truthful, fair, beneficial and how to build better friendships.  She appreciates so much the gift of helping others and will be attending Ohio University in the fall.

Dinah reported that just this year, the students participated in 88 events and accumulated 745 volunteer hours and she presented all of the students with certificates, a pin and a key chain recognizing years of service. The students received two tone blue cords to wear with their graduation robes.  Two special student awards were given to Bri and Nami.  Bri received a special award for service and Nami earned a Make a Difference Award.  A surprise award was also given to Rotarian Dick Hall for always being there for the club and never refusing to help with what they needed.

Mayor Pribonic praised Interact and Dinah Henderson in particular, for making the city a better place and congratulating the parents on raising such great young people.  He feels that the program has taught the students how to be manage life successfully.

Brad Ruth, Chair of our Membership Committee, also complimented the parents on the quality of their daughters.  He recognized Dawn Miller, a parent who is already a member of our club and encouraged other parents to think about membership, if they feel they have a heart to be a Rotarian.
