ROTARY CLUB STOW MUNROE FALLS
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m. with Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation by Christina Gary.
Brad Jagger was our announcer.

Happy Buck:
Annie Hanson who announced she is now with Akron Public Schools Stem Cell Program and Katie Wright announced that City of KENT is having a BLUES FEST on Friday July 17th starting at 4 p.m. We are all invited to stop at their Office METIS CONST. 175 E. Erie St. The Margarita Machine will be in full operation. We sang Happy Birthday (lead by Annette Oborn) to Dickie Hall and he also had the winning ticket, Sorry Dickie wrong card pulled.
CLIP BOARDS:
We now have a procedure established for passing them around.
ADOPT A SPOT:
Marty Tass asked for help weeding. Wednesday and Saturday at the Safety Bldg circle.
FOOD BANK:
Dave Renninger sent around his request, Dave stated that Friday September 11th the Food Bank will have a 24 hour Agent Orange.
SHOE BOXES NICARAGUA:
Sign up sheet was sent around so we can purchase all items need and when Jim Callahan returns we will only need to place items in the BOXES Jim will provide us with. Note Dr. John Murphy will supply all the toothbrushes.
NEWSLETTER:
Jacqui asked for members to please help with the newsletter. You will be given a form to follow and just forward it to Jacqui.
Elizabeth Eaken has agreed to be our Sunshine Chair. Please contact her so she can send out cards etc.
PROGRAMS:
Christina Gary is working on an evening program.
PROJECTS:
Battered Women’s Shelter. We are on target and will be done by first of the year.
Ronald McDonald House:
Considering our Club cooking and serving meals.
Our Club was asked to help purchase a Van for a fairly new organization in Akron. The Board
declined request.
NEW POSITION:
Carol Flask will serve as Hospitality Chair for our invited guest, our speakers, and Community members interested in learning about our Club.
GUEST SPEAKER:
Mike Osman
Mike spoke about growing up here, leaving the area and returning home in 2009. He has helped establish the STOW FARMERS MARKET which started with 4 Vendors and today we have 26. The Stow Farmers Market has been in operation 5 years and is held at Stow Community Church. Mike said that it has become a gathering place for friend and neighbors. The Market is opened on Saturdays from 9 to 12:30.
