President Bob Sweitzer opened the meeting by leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance. He then thanked Sgt. At Arms, Todd Hearty and his able assistant Dave Renninger for checking us in this morning and welcoming our guest, Greg Landis.
CELEBRATIONS:
Happy Buck: Dick Hall told us that his son is involved in the design of Disney cruise ships and that last week a new ship was launched in Germany. Gale and Dick had the pleasure of being guests on that Friends and Family cruise and Dick shared that it was spectacular.
Birthdays: Will Sumser is celebrating his birthday today and Dinah Henderson's birthday is December 19.
Left and Right Game: To celebrate the holidays, instead of a program, the club played the Left and Right game where each person ended up with a gift after they passed gifts left and right according to the story. The narration, based on “Twas the Night Before Christmas” was done by Maria Ferrara.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Rotary Foundation: President Bob told everyone that our campaign for The Rotary Foundation has reached over $17,000, but that people are also able to give any time of the year.
Our Foundation Board Meeting: Linda Trevorrow, Board President reminded foundation members that they are to meet at her house tomorrow evening.
Drawing: Annie Hanson-Hilaire's table had the winning number, but her daughter, Charlie, drew the 8 of diamonds. That means the next winner will be in 2026.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing: Saturday from 10:00-4:00 will be the last time we ring for the Salvation Army this year. If you have not had a chance to donate yet this season, stop by Acme during those hours and put your check in the bucket.
Servers: The club presented our servers with $323 from our members with thanks for preparing the breakfast for us each week.
REMEMBER THAT WE WILL NOT MEET ON DECEMBER 24 OR DECEMBER 31 SO, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. WE WILL SEE YOU BACK AT THE CENTER ON JANUARY 7TH,
