INVOCATION: Jim Callahan read a wonderful invocation. 

 

Brian the SLCC Service Coordinator for past 4 years is moving on from serving us to serving as an International Entertainment Marketer. His business card is attached. We wished him well and thanked him for his service to us. 

 

ANNOUNCER: Andrea Denton announced today and let us know that Suzanne Garret has been nominated for membership and if you have any concerns with that please contact Andrea Denton or Jim Callahan.  Last in was Linda Trevorrow, I guess she has been busy, something about taxes. Visitors: David Horning our speaker. Bonnie Housley’s table drew King of spades.  

 

HAPPY BUCKS: 

Stow Munroe Falls Community Foundation  Event Friday May 1st at Gavin Scott Salon and Spa. $40 and tickets can be purchased from John Pribonic, Anne Hanson, Marty Tass, Jacqui Bowman. Includes desserts, polish change, brow wax, etc. Great gift for someone to get pampered, and goes towards a great cause. 

 

Don Coughlin  announced that Stow HighSchool Musical this year is this weekend “The Music Man” Free dress rehearsal Friday morning 9:30. Should be a great show.  

 

Doug Dotterer let us know that this Thursday night they will be at Roses Run holding the Dessert Extravaganza which is a wonderful event, and auction.  Tickets at the door are available  $50. 

 

PRESIDENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Mark Ferguson took year of leave of absence he is under a lot of pressure in his current business transition, we will miss him and see him next year. Jim also reminded us to stand up, be a Rotarian. Rotary International donations for our club are down.  We need to have more than 50% participation in this. We should support the Foundation. Christina Gary is now in charge of grant aspirations.  Jim pointed out that we need some younger members which we have known about… for years. Ha. 

 

ANNOUNCEMENT: 

Food Bank lists are updated on the clipboard for throughout the end of the year.  So please sign up for as many as you can questions, see Dave Renninger. 

 

Christina Gary announced that Scholarship committee are reviewing applications for SMFHS Seniors, so please let her know of anyone that we need to be looking for, or that you know personally. We need to make a decision May 8th. 

 

Bonnie passed around clipboard for Heroes Day, for the Service Committee. Please contact her to commit to a time to set up, tear down, and serve food. 

 

GUEST SPEAKER Mike Sekulich really had nothing to say about himself, so he just introduced his speaker:  David Horning, a sketch comedy producer. 

 

SPEAKER: David Horning - Gave a great little skit on “Turn your life Inside out”… He gave a very humorous presentation, acting for us, changing character. We all had a chuckle at some point during this presentation. He was very funny. It was light, short and somewhat entertaining.  His business card is attached.
