The Rotary Club of North Ridgeville, in partnership with Rotary Clubs of Lakewood/Rocky River, Westlake/Bay Village, and Westshore, will be providing Learning Care Packages for local families.
Distance learning has been a struggle for many local families. Parents are trying to do it all – help their child
with schoolwork, perform their own jobs, keep up with household duties and, hopefully, carve out a little time
for self-care in the midst of everything else.

Distance learning has also been challenging for children, especially those with ADHD, attention, anxiety,
behavior and learning issues. These students are finding it hard to stay focused and organized, especially in the
home environment. Tears and yelling about schoolwork have become the norm in many homes.
Connecting for Kids is committed to helping area families find creative solutions to distance learning dilemmas.
That is why we are so excited that our Rotary clubs will be helping in this effort by sourcing and assembling 140 Distance
Learning Care Packages for Parents.
Families will be able to pick these up in January just as their students are starting the second half of the school year. In addition, Connecting for Kids will be offering a series of educational and support programs in January to help local families learn how to use these materials and communicate more effectively with their child’s school.
