It was fantastic to hear from our two RYLA attendees at our last meeting. Their enthusiasm and reflections were a wonderful reminder of the impact this program has on the young future leaders who attend, helping them build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lasting connections.
A reminder that our next meeting will have a budget focus. All committee chairs are asked to come prepared with their financial requests for the year so they can be brought to the table for discussion.
I will not be at our next meeting, as I’ll be somewhere along the route of my cross-Canada adventure. I’ll be handing the reins back to Dwight temporarily, so you will be in very capable—and familiar—hands!
For anyone staying close to home, Ottawa has plenty happening this weekend, including two Caribbean festivals and “Weird Al” Yankovic bringing his Bigger & Weirder tour to Canadian Tire Centre on Sunday. Hopefully everyone can find a little time for some summer fun.
