We were honored to have retired Geauga County Public Defender Bob Umholtz as our guest speaker this morning. He gave us a chilling detailed account of Chesterland 15yr. old foster child Marcus Moore who murdered a clerk and injured another at the Clark Gas station back in 2000. Bob talked about “retributive” and “restorative” justice and how both can possibly be delivered. Marcus was sentenced to 33 yrs. to life in prison for the murder. He is eligible for parole in a few years. Bob has decided to represent him again should he need legal counsel.
