Our guest speaker this week was Amy Goletz the owner of Avonlea Gardens & Inn located on Fowlers Mill Rd. in the heart of the Fowlers Mill Historic District about 100 yds. north of Mayfield Rd. in Munson Twp. Amy and her husband Joe and three children all pitch in to manage the nursery and beautiful historic Victorian Airbnb. They sell approx. 500 different varieties of native plants! All are meticulously and systematically organized on their website where you can order just about anything you are looking to plant. Amy is an expert in the field and will help guide you on all your gardening needs. Amy is especially knowledgeable about the types of trees, plants, shrubs that will promote not only a beautiful landscape but also will be beneficial to the sensitive ecosystem and balance between your greenery and all the many helpful insects, bees and birds! This was one of the most educational, informative and illuminating presentations our rotary club has ever had. Thank you!
