The coronavirus has impacted the world, the nation, and those in Geauga County in ways that is hard to believe. The Chesterland Rotary, soon to be the Geauga West Rotary, has stepped up in this crisis and is supporting our senior population and University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center (UH Geauga).
The Geauga County Department on Aging needs products for our seniors who are shut in or can’t do for themselves. Many of our seniors need items such as shelf stable products: cereal, canned vegetables, crackers, cleaning supplies, adult diapers, hand sanitizer, masks, driveway address markers, etc. We are asking anyone that would like to help to do the following:
1) If you are shopping, pick up a few extra items and drop them off at the Chesterland Police Department lobby. A box is located inside the lobby marked for the Department on Aging.
2) You can donate money to the Chesterland Rotary by sending a check to P.O. Box 722 Chesterland, Ohio 44026 and we will do the shopping for you and deliver to these items to the Department on Aging. Please make checks out to the Chesterland Rotary Foundation. Donations are tax deductible.
The Chesterland Rotary is also supporting UH Geauga. UH is in need of personal protection equipment (masks, face shields, gowns, etc.), but we also need to support their great staff as they work long stressful hours.
