The Chester Township Officials held a solemn but beautiful Memorial Day Service at the Chester Twp. Cemetery on May 26th at 10:00AM. Approximately two hundred residents were in attendance on the warm and sunny morning. The Geauga West Rotary Club recently completed its service project to honor our veterans at the cemetery which included installation of a new flagpole, granite boulder with bronze plaque inscribed with the immortal words of President Harry S. Truman, and garden area of annuals and perennials surrounding the flagpole. Kudos to club members Jim Zeitz (wife Paula) and Terry Palermo for all their help with the project. Job well done!
