Empower Sports is a nonprofit that provides year-round sports programs for people with disabilities with an emphasis on helping participants develop social skills, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Programs include basketball, softball, flag football, soccer, and much more.
Tom Heines is a 2007 graduate of West Geauga High School and CJ Maynard is a 2016 graduate of Kenston High School. CJ is Empower Sports’ Geauga County program director, leading all county-based inclusive sports programs for people with disabilities.
