NEXT MEETING IS AT PUNDERSON

PROGRAM - John Bonner. Geauga County Corn Maze.  Western Reserve Recreation.

John Bonner, John Gander's second favorite grandson, has constructed the Geauga County Corn Maze located at 14252 Burton-Windsor Road in Burton.  The maze will be open in October on Fridays from 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM, on Saturdays 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Sundays 1:00 PM - 7 PM.  The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-11 years old.  All money raised by the event will go to John's non-profit company, Western Reserve Recreation, which exists to help students in the Berkshire School District offset pay to play costs.

The maze covers 20 acres and has 7 miles of trails.  It is GPS cut in the shape of Geauga County, with all of the trails being the main roads in the county.  Each town is marked in the maze.  Once in the maze, the participants use their knowledge of Geauga County's roads to navigate through various scavenger hunts that are going on that day.  Scavenger hunts may include visiting every town or visiting every park (which are also marked in the maze).

Besides the main corn maze there are hayrides, food and beverages for sale, a young children's maze constructed out of staw bales, and much more.
