NEXT WEEK'S MEETING IS A FACTORY TOUR OF TROY INNOVATIVE.  TROY INNOVATIVE IS LOCATED AT 15111 WHITE ROAD IN MIDDLEFIELD TOWNSHIP.  THE TOUR STARTS AT 6:15 PM WITH DINNER TO FOLLOW AT ALLEY'S.

Program:   Teeba.  Young Iraqi girl being raised by Barbara and Tim Marlowe of Concord Township.

Barbara was reading the newspaper when she saw an image of Teeba, who was badly burned at the age of 19 months by a roadside bomb in Iraq.  She was taken by the picture and the little girl's eyes and wanted to help.  Barbara arranged to have Teeba brought to the states at the age of 5.  Teeba is now 9 years old and a student at Andrews Osbone Academy in Mentor.  Since arriving in Ohio, she has had 15 surgeries to help her grow new skin on her face, procedures that she never would have received in Iraq.  The Marlowe's and Teeba still speak with Teeba's biological mother weekly.  Besides having been through a lot in her young life, Teeba is a regular 9 year old girl.

Dick Hills said the Johnnycake Ridge Singers will be performing May 14th.  See Dick if you have interest in attending.

Mike Pesek announced that we will be having BMR's 60th anniversary celebration on May 18th at the Welshfield Inn Banquet Center.  Invitations will be sent in the mail.  If you know any past BMR presidents who are no longer members that would like to attend please get Mike their address.

Heads and Tails winner:  Nan Burr.

Thank you letters were received from Kelly Timmons, director of Berkshire High School's Interact Club and from Louis Locher who is recovering from knee surgery.  Also, the County Home sent a thank you for the extra pancakes and sausage that we delivered to them.

Thank you to Mike Pesek for all her hard work putting together BMR's 60th anniversay program and meeting!

Bob Johnson reminded all members who owe money for complimentary pancake breakfasts and syrup purchases to get their payments in.  Also, he remined those who would like to participate in Every Rotarian Every Year to make their payments soon.
