THE NEXT MEETING IS THE CHRISTMAS PARTY AT WELSHFIELD INN

Guests:
  John Hurd.

Heads & tails winner:  Len Golding.

Salvation Army bell ringing was this past weekend.  Thank you to all who participated.

A thank you was received from Cardinal Elementary thanking BMR for the dictionaries.

The County Home Christmas Party will be December 18th with dinner to follow at Grandview.  Gift assignments have been handed out.  If you have not been giving a gift assignment, you are asked to bring a snack the night of the party.  Please contact Mary and let her know what snack you are bringing so she can coordinate.  Also, anybody who wants to help put together the gift bags please plan on being at Mary's house around 2 PM on Monday December 16th.

New member inductions:  Congratulations to Brad Wadsworth and Heidi Hess, the newest members of BMR!

Dick Hills is selling Our Town Around books as a fundraiser for his barbershop quartet.

As a reminder, all BMR Board meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month after the regular meeting.  This is a great way for members to get attendance credit for two meetings (the regular meeting and then the Board meeting following the regular meeting).

PROGRAM:  Dave.  Lake/Geauga County Shared Services Regional Cooperative.

Lake/Geauga County Shared Services Regional Cooperative is a group of schools, townships, cities, and municipalities who are looking at common needs in an effort to go about purchasing products or services for the entire group at discounted prices.  The organization is new to the area and has been boosted by a recent $100,000 grant from the state's Local Government Innovation Fund.  Currently, members of the cooperative are submitting data detailing their buying habits to help the group best identify areas where group buying or the sharing of services may help.  The idea of shared services has become necessary as budgets of the member organizations have been greatly reduced.
