This year's Rotary International Theme is "Rotary Connects the World."  The Rotary Club of Burton-Middlefield has certainly contributed to this with our many local and international projects.  This year, as part of Rotary's U.S. initiative on growing our membership, I hope to significantly grow the membership of our club by attracting energetic and passionate members who can help our club expand our opportunities to do improve the communities in which we live and beyond.  By demonstrating that our club embodies the motto: "Rotary - People of Action" we can not only help those in our community, but also raise the visibility of our club, thereby attracting like-minded people who want to be a part of this vibrant club.  

 

This year, all clubs have been tasked with looking at different ways to make the club more vibrant, fun, and attractive to potential new members.  Therefore, I ask all members to be open-minded to change and to help us to continue  the 68-year-long legacy of outstanding service that our club has provided to our community and the world.
