Amie Rogers of Annville becomes an honorary member of the Rotary of Lebanon.

Of the many postives coming from Rotary of Lebanon's sponsorship of the Lebanon Bologna Fest and Winter Carnival in January, none may be as heartwarming as the opportunity to meet Amie Rogers. As a vendor at the Bologna Fest, Rogers provided several childrens games as a fundraiser for a kidney transplant. Club president Patrick Freer, Jr. eventually learned that the transplant patient was Amie, and he was moved by her story of courage and determination to face her medical situation head on. She faced overwhelming financial circumstances and has a limited support system around her. Lebanon Rotary has rallied to contribute financial resources as well as needed services from several of its' members own businesses in addition to that of other businesses and organizations in the Lebanon area. You can read more of Amie's story in the February 21, 2011 edition of the Lebanon Daily News.
