Club Meeting of May 5

The meeting was called to order by club president, Tom Craig. Announcements were made:
  • Rotary Foundation VP Todd Wallace reminded us of our club per member commitment of $35 per in order to be eligible to receive Rotary District Grants. To date we are at $25.86 per member;
  • VP of Club Service, Selena Myers advised the Academic Scholarships recipients will be recognized at our May 19th meeting. The Service Provider Appreciation Event will be at our May 26th meeting;
  • Tom shared we have received membership applications from Katie and Chris, to be approved at our next board meeting;
  • Laura Thomas shared Barbertonopoly news;
Our speaker was Lisa Gilenbach, the Children's Services Manager at Barberton Public Library. Lisa shared the goal of the library to be a destination spot for children and families and how they are changing their format and services to achieve that goal.
