Biodiversity in your backyard - What’s all the buzz about?
With 123 threatened flora and fauna species found within Casey, connecting habitats is important for their survival. Casey’s Gardens for Wildlife program is working towards reaching and creating positive biodiversity outcomes through the connection of habitats across the residential backyard landscape.
Simonette Charles is City of Casey's Environment Project Officer. She will be telling us about this program and how you can support the unique plants and animals found within Casey. She will provide ideas for your own local environment at home with a special focus on native pollinators. Pick up a copy of the Gardens for Wildlife booklet that will assist you in designing and developing your own wildlife garden.
