The Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club has been active in battling child hunger in Voorhees for many years.
A signature program of the Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club has been providing healthy snacks to address student hunger in our elementary schools.
Summer Free Lunch Program
With the pandemic, a new threat emerged, children having reduced access to school-based food assistance. When the 2019-20 school year ended, the club partnered with the Food Bank of South Jersey. to do weekly distribution of packs of 5 lunches and breakfasts for children. The program ran from June to early September from a location in Lindenwold donated by Bethany Baptist Church.
Fall/Winter Free Lunch Program
Due to the success of the summer program, our club and the Food Bank of South Jersey made the division to extend the Lindenwold location until next June. We have expanded the program to Stratford and Lindenwold.

The child free lunch program would not be possible without the extraordinary partnership with the Food Bank of South Jersey. In response to the pandemic, they have redoubled their efforts to address hunger in South Jersey.
We also would like to thank the wonderful people at Bethany Baptist Church for volunteering one of their properties to host the distribution. (They also host their own food distribution event.)
