If ended up being a perfect day for a parade - after the torrents of Thursday, Friday dawned cool but sunny. And the crowds turned out, lining the parade every step of the way, but particularly on Main Street.

Grand Marshal Robert Houghtaling - veteran of the Korean War - led the parade together with bagpiper and EGHS alum Aaron Lindo. Houghtaling spoke of the crowd's warmth during his speech at Town Hall, where the parade ended. He also urged the crowd to continue to acknowledge veterans from World War II all the way to continuing conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan.
