Announcements:
* Please pay your dues if you haven't already
* Gordon reported on the tree project. locations: Branchport, Martin Luther and Basketball Park on Atlantic Avenue.
* Currently at $2,700 towards Sanitation Department Dinner goal of $6,000
* Next night meeting will be 9/21 at Mar Belo restaurant, not meeting on 9/22
* Art Show - 22 artists so far. Mark your calendar for 10/18 at Branches
roger has ad form and need club members to sell ads in the ad book. Major source of revenue for the event. Ad prices start at $30 for a business
card size. Gift baskets need for Chance Auctiion. Easy items include wine, lotto tickets, liquor, re-gifting things you have and don't want. You can also
sponsor a basket with a $60 donation and Terry will shop for the items and give you credit.
* continuing to collect rice through next week and will be delivered after next week's meeting.
* Tunes for Texas at Ron's West End Pub 12-4pm on 9/9. Fundraiser with the Windmill, ARMS for Convoy of Hope. Hot dogs provided by the Windmill,
beverages, live music, 50/50, raffle items. donation items needed include: 5 gal buckets with lids, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, bleach, new
clothing items. Used clothing cannot be accepted.
* Lisa Weiner from Conte's Car Wash was presented with a plaque thanking Conte's for generously supporting the Rotary Club of Greater Long Branch.
* Rise Against Hunger, food packing event 10/28 at Manasquan Fire House. Volunteers needed for set up, 1st shift, 2nd shift and clean up. A donation
of $29 equals 100 nutritious meals. Goal is to pack 33,000 meals.

Citizens Police Academy will begin 5th class Tuesday, 10/17 at Brookdale's Long branch Campus, 6-8pm. Class is 8 weeks long with a goal of engaging Long branch residents with the police department. Interactive class with field trips to Fire HQ, active shooter demo, traffic stops and more. An alumni group of the class is working to raise funds for a bulletproof vest for K9 officer.
