Steven first joined Rotary at the age of 31 and has served as President of two clubs in southern New Jersey and as Treasurer for 3 years for his current club, Voorhees Breakfast. He has served District 7505 as Vocational Service chair, as Club Service chair, and, since 2020, as an Assistant Governor. He spoke about the 2024-25 presidential theme of The Magic of Rotary, highlighting the transformative nature of Rotary's work and the dedication of its members to create positive change in the world - reminding us that in every corner of the globe, Rotary brings the magic of hope, compassion, and change.

Carlos Reynolds, owner of Barrio Antiguo, was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and came to the United States at a young age with his mother. Early on, he understood that succeeding here would mean leaving behind everything he once knew. This experience is why his community matters so deeply to him and shared this message with the club:
"I've gone through many of the same challenges that my community faces today, and my mission is to ensure that the Latino community has equal opportunities to thrive. By focusing on initiatives such as "Know Your Rights" seminars for tenants, employees, and consumers, assistance with obtaining tax IDs, and mental health awareness partnerships with local hospitals, I believe we can create pathways for the Latino community to integrate and succeed more quickly. Additionally, by collaborating with Rotary's teacher training programs, we can promote English language education abroad, further empowering students in our home countries."
