Rotary Club of Greater Long Branch President Walt Thistlewaite thanks guest speakers Reggie and Yvette Anderson, founders of MTN Organization. Meet the Need is a NJ based Non- Profit Organization whose primary goal is to meet the need of those less fortunate, who have fallen on hard times or temporarily need assistance. They support children, elderly, families, special needs, Veterans and individuals who are economically disadvantaged
Each year they host six projects of promise geared toward enriching the lives of others by offering a little hope and joy.
This year they will be adding MTN’s Pop Up Pantry to bring fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, salads, and grocery items for those in need to provide a healthier way of eating.
Coming soon is MTN’s Military Care Mission which will be sending troops care packages.
Other projects include Friends Feed Families which gives care packages to homeless in several NJ counties. Bears of Care consists of students visiting the elderly and veterans on Valentines Day to give homemade cards, stuffed animals and treats. Packs of Success offers students in shelter and in need packs filled with school supplies to give them the tools needed to have a successful school year.
