NJ Vocational Assembly will be held October 1, 2012 at the Pines Manor in Edison.

Jay Tango was inducted as a member to the Long Branch Rotary Club by Past President Len Kiczek. Jay is employed by Monmouth Medical, is a LT. Colonel in the Reserves, a part time musician and married with 2 children. Jay welcome and thank you for your service to our Country it is an honor to have you as a Long Branch Rotary Member.

Roger spoke about the Clambake on August 9,2012 at 5pm. Brian Berry and the CB committee is organizing a Bocce team that will challenge Asbury Park Rotary team. There is talk about a trophy that resembles the Stanley Cup ???

It is sure to be a great time with good food friends and of course the famous "Sangria"

Brian Berry presented the Rotary Club with a check for $1,485 from the Lombardi Dinner. Brian also announced that he can no longer be the representative for LBRC and asked for a volunteer to replace his position at the Lombardi Committee. Bill Boglioli has accepted to take his place. Thank you Brian for your commitment over the last couple of years.

Mika reported on the success of the Art Show at Deal Golf & Country Club. A big "Thank you" to everyone who worked hard to make it a great evening, and to Bill Boglioli for facilitating the use of a beautiful venue. After our Board Meeting we will have the final dollar amount raised.

Ted Panis suggested that on the Fridays we do not have a formal meeting due to a Holiday or Event during the week to still hold a round table meeting for members who would like to come to lunch and to welcome any visiting Rotarians that might also show up at Rooneys.

Ken Gittell showed videos on projects that other Rotary Clubs do to get a conversation going about what we can do to help our community. The Videos were very informative and has us all thinking of ways to get involved in giving back.
