Notes:
- The Club received a net total of $1000 from the Lombardi Awards Dinner
- Club Secretary Ken G. spoke about the importance of consistent meeting attendance
- Brian shared a news article with the club regarding Will Johnson, who will provide clean up equipment for any clean up projects the club wants to embark upon
- Brian talked about the formation of committees and advance planning of Club events. (Membership Committee, Pr/Marketing Committee, Art Show, Clambake, Changeover Dinner, etc)
- A New Rotary Sign was created and will be placed at Rooney’s with a card holder that holds the “What is Rotary” cards. (Ken)
- The total proceeds for the Karen Hansen fund is $2600.00

- Her role is as a conduit between R.I. and the clubs
- She is here to help our club reach its goals
- This year’s theme is “Light Up Rotary” - coined by RI President Gary Wong. It derives from the saying “Better to Light One Candle than Curse the Darkness.” - Confucius
- Currently R I has 34,000 clubs and 1.3 million members worldwide
- Gov. Primack urged us to send news articles, releases and club updates to Robyn Platt Lacey and to copy her on the submissions.
