Pres. Fatima Camacho Welcomed the guests: District Governor Joan Vas; Denise Bonbaou, Red Bank Rotary; Mark Balsam, Belmar-Wall Rotary, Josh Feinberg, RYLA student; Anne Feinberg, Lindsey Feinberg.

Joan Vas spoke about the podium that Roger Hansen built and how he might be able to take orders from other clubs.

Joan started visiting Long Branch Rotary about 9 years ago and feels very comfortable with our Club.

She asked if we sponsor a Dictionary Project and suggested that if we do we should have the students who receive them write a letter to a service person.

The District Conference in May 2013 will be in Cape May and the theme will be the movie Casablanca.

Joan wants to help every Club president in the District win a Presidential Citation by them sponsoring a Peace Conference for Middle School Children.

Rotary District 7500 Gift of Life Foundation Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, August20, 2012, 6pm.  Location: The Clarion Hotel and Conference Center (formerly the Quality Inn).  815 Route 37 West, Toms River.  They will acknowledge the new RI presidents them of Peace Through Service.

Joan inducted new member Amanda Guglielmo.  Amanda resides in Monmouth Beach.  She works for P\S\L Group which is a global organization dedicated to putting information at the service of medicine.  The companies and people of P\S\L Group aim to improve medical care by serving those who need it, those who provide it and those who seek to improve it.

Their clients include research based pharmaceutical companies and othe healthcare institutions who seek the advancement of medicine.  Their primary business purpose is to help these clients increase effectiveness, as well as lower the cost ofr activities pertaining to scientific communication, medical education or product/service marketing.

High school student Josh Feinberg spoke about his experience at RYLA.  He spoke of the confidence it instilled in him, the camaraderie and teamwork developed during the program and how it changed him in a very positive way.  He was very grateful for the opportunity to participate in the program
