Nancy Marcus from Envision Health & Fitness being thanked by Pres. Mika Hon

Rotary Club enters 2013-14 Year with Big Agenda

Al Peskoe Led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Paul Peacock gave the Invocation.

In his first official meeting as new Club President, Mika Hon outlined a spirited and aggressive agenda for his term in office at the Club’s weekly Friday meeting.

In addition to the continuation of the Club’s very successful food drive,  Mr Hon indicated that the groups that would be supported this year include the Waves of Hope Foundation, Kick Cancer Overboard and the Jersey Shore Autism Foundation.

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to support these great causes,” said President Hon. “These are three local charities that serve very important needs here in our community.”

In addition, increasing membership is a big initiative for the Club this year. “Very simply, if you live in this community and you are interested in doing something about helping to fight cancer, if you’re interested in doing something to help the hungry families of the community, if you are interested in helping with the fight against Autism, if you are interested in being part of an organization that puts “Service Above Self” then you really should consider joining the Long Branch Rotary Club”, said President Hon.
