Announcements:
President Barb made the following announcements during the meeting:
- District 7500 “Gift of Life Gala” to be held at Crystal Point Yacht Club, Point Pleasant; Date: 2.11.17; Tickets still available at time of meeting
- Our Club Fireside chat is February 16th at Piancones Restaurant, upstairs
Tickets available at Club website; Deadline is 2.13.17 so Mika can turn in the headcount.
- Lombardi Dinner is 3/16 at Sheraton Eatontown; Club is trying for a table of 10. Currently we have 7. Mika is looking for ads for the journal.
- Members can and should list their businesses on the Rotary District 7500 Business Directory
- Terry Janeczak. said that The Art Show will be April 20th at Sheraton in Eatontown. Beneficiary will be the Rugby School. She wants each club member to sell 6 tickets. More details to follow.
- Terry also talked about her Rugby School/Footsteps Mentorship Program. She asked club members businesses or those who know business owners to provide mentorship for a special needs teen in her program.
- Darryl’s gave us the lowdown on the new fanciful digs at Rooney’s.
- The 50/50 was won by some unknown tall, dark, handsome, suave and debonair gentleman. Oh wait, that was last week…this week, Mike Ciavolino won the 50/50 of $32.00
- Ted Panis regaled us all with Happy Dollars.
- Penne Vodka was on the menu for the 56th consecutive week, shattering the Club record.
