Minutes for August 3, 2012
Meeting came to order 12:15 Opened by Fatima Camacho with the salute of the flag, followed by the prayer given by Paul Peacock.
Attendees: Al Peskoe, Ken Gittell, Michael Hon, Michael Hayes, Patricia Binkowski, Fatima Camacho, Ted Friedli, Ted Panis, Roger Hansen, Gerald Kass, Gordon Heggie, Robert Celli, Paul Dement, Amada Guglielmo and Margot Vazquez.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Michael Rushnak
Agenda: Fatima Camacho opened with details about the Art Auction/Sale Event which was held at the Deal Country Club on July 18th. Fatima said under the circumstances with the weather/road closings etc. We the “Rotary” pulled it off AGAIN with a net profit of about 1500.00. Not to “Shabby” considering “lights were optional”. Word to the wise “Never leave home without a candle”. Roger Hansen followed with the committee meeting details held on the Clambake function to be held August 9th, 2012.
Dr. Michael Rushnak, our guest speaker, spoke on Mental Illness and the effects it has not only in personal life, but also in today’s workplace. He also brought the first two books of the trilogy on hand for purchase. “We”as a group agreed that Roger would make great research for his next book.
