Highlights: The mission is to provide lifesaving surgery to children ages 1 to 13 that are born with congenital heart defects and live in countries that cannot provide treatment.
The funding supports the volunteer doctors and nurses plus tools, supplies and training for local doctors. He related his experiences observing the surgeries in these foreign countries. The volunteering doctors are from prestigious U.S. universities. Bill also cited statistics of the major increase in surgeries and ICUs.
