Our Foundation Centennial Continues with You

THE ROTARY FOUNDATION TURNED 100 and is moving forward!

Plan how your club will support The Rotary Foundation this year. Here are some ways to get involved:
  • Plan a Rotary Day in your community to raise awareness of Rotary and its Foundation - thank about World Polio Day on October 24th or Rotary's birthday on February 23rd or Paul Harris' birthday on April 19th.
  • Promote projects your club is involved in that are funded by the Foundation...which can also include donations from your community.   It's always great to say 'thanks' to those who have contributed to a project's success!
  • Empower The Rotary Foundation to support the good work of Rotary clubs around the world by making a special contribution - personally or as a club.
  • Bike to End Polio Now - get on board, whether it be a stationery bicycle or a road bike.  Cycle to raise funds to help End Polio Now!  We'll be focusing on this fun (and family-oriented) way to create awareness of Counting Down to History.
Ask our District Foundation Chair, PDGBonnie Black, to visit your club and she'll update your members on the Foundation and take a look at your club giving since charter as well as the past few years.  She can also visit to inform your members (or community) about how we're moving toward our final stretch in eradicating polio with our Counting Down to History campaign coming soon.

"WE SHOULD NOT LIVE FOR OURSELVES ALONE, BUT FOR THE JOY IN DOING GOOD FOR OTHERS."

— Arch C. Klumph, letter to Rotary club presidents, 5 February 1929

The seed for The Rotary Foundation was planted by Rotary President Arch Klumph at the Atlanta Convention in 1917. From the first gift of $26.50 by the Rotary Club of Kansas City (MO), the Foundation's assets have grown significantly, and more than $3 billion has been spent on programs and projects — transforming millions of lives around the globe. Learn more about the Foundation.
