Nearly 325,000 individual lights have been incorporated into dazzling displays and choreographed to holiday music along the 1.1-mile-long forested route.

The Sixth Annual Making Spirits Bright Event opens on November 24 and runs through December 31 in Sheboygan’s Evergreen Park. The holiday lights show runs nightly from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with the exception of December 24 when the park is closed. The event is presented by the Rotary Clubs of Sheboygan County with the objective to collect pantry items for the Sheboygan County Food Bank.

Nearly 325,000 individual lights have been incorporated into dazzling displays and choreographed to holiday music along the 1.1-mile-long forested route. New displays have been added and perennial favorites have been enhanced creating a new experience for this year’s visitors.
Admission is free, but a donation of pantry items is requested. Visitors can drop off their donations as they enter the park. Items collected are delivered nightly to the Sheboygan County Food Bank for timely distribution to needy individuals and families across Sheboygan County. All non-perishable foods are accepted but items most needed are canned proteins such as tuna, chicken, and beef stew, complete boxed meals, canned fruits as well as personal care and hygiene items.

On weekends, patrons may begin their visit at the Quarryview Center, located across the street from Evergreen Park. At Quarryview, they have the opportunity to buy tickets for entry in a raffle to win a wreath created by a local designer and purchase a personalized ornament in honor of a deceased loved one for the Memory Tree. Concessions will be available for purchase. Visitors can take their picture with Santa on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and catch a $2 old-fashioned trolley ride through the lights show route on Fridays and Saturdays. During the Quarryview Center hours, local musicians and musical groups will be performing.

The organizers of Making Spirits Bright extend their gratitude to this year’s major sponsors: Brenda Potter, Rockline Industries, Grover Family Foundation, Masters Gallery Foods, Festival Foods and the Frank G. & Frieda K. Brotz Family Foundation, Inc.
