The 22nd Annual Horseheads Rotary Adult Spelling B

The Horseheads Rotary is looking for Spelling Bee Teams! Illiteracy costs our nation’s businesses and taxpayers approximately $20 billion per year. In our community alone, the local Literacy Volunteer Affiliate tells us there are as many as 20,000 men and women who cannot read or write well enough to fill out a job application or maintain a bank account. To call attention to the problem and raise money for adult education services in our community, The Horseheads Rotary Club is sponsoring: The 22nd Annual Horseheads Rotary Adult Spelling Bee for Literacy, which will be held in center court at the Arnot Mall on Saturday January 31, 10:30 am. We are looking for companies, organizations, clubs, etc. to participate by entering teams of three adults (must be at least 16yrs of age). Teams can go to www.spellingbee.com and www.myspellit.com for practice spelling words prior to the event. There is a registration fee of $100.00 per team, with all the proceeds donated to the Literacy Volunteers. We need your help!
