Get to know your #district5020presidents! Meet Jane Currie, President of Rotary Club of Nanaimo. She is a retired chemist, having worked in industry and government in research and environmental management.
After her first too-early retirement, she had a second career with the Victoria Symphony and absolutely loved working in the arts world.
She joined Rotary in 1991, the Royal Glenora Rotary in Edmonton - the first rotary club in Canada chartered by women! Over the years she has learned that life constantly changes (jobs come and go, family and friends come and go)... but Rotary ideals remain constant, reflecting the constant need for humanitarian service. Anywhere in the world, any time, a Rotarian is warmly welcomed by other Rotarians, in a shared quest for peace and helping others.
