One Day, Fun Day!

We're excited to see you at this year's District Conference, Friday, April 19!
For the first time, the conference will be “One Day, Fun Day,” full of massive inspiration and fun—it's a day to celebrate the success of our 2012-13 Rotary year and all Rotarians are encouraged to attend!
Co-chairs Jody Kern (Edina Noon) and Lindsey Kurhajetz (South Metro Minneapolis Evenings) and their team have been working very hard to bring you a relevant, engaging day. The schedule is as follows:
- 7:00-8:15: Registration, networking and fellowship
- 8:15-10:00: Buffet breakfast and Club Awards
- 10:00-10:15: Break – visit our photo booth and the Friendship Hall
- 10:15-11:35: Speaker Paul Batz, "Does goodness really matter?"
- 11:35:11:40: “Done in a Day” Project, Learn to fold origami cranes with San and Sheila Asato
- 11:40-12:00: Break
- 12:00- 1:30: Plated lunch featuring the Rotary Rooters choir and keynote speaker Michael Angelo Caruso, "How to interest someone in 15 seconds"
- 1:30 -2:00: Dessert & coffee
- 2:00-3:00: Speaker Jennifer Jones, “It’s all about image”
- 3:00-4:30: Breakout Sessions on "Your Club and Your Life:"
- K-9 police dog demo
- Jim Tincher “Engagement – the secret to success in Rotary, your work and your life”
- Tena Pettis-Social media
- “Done in a Day” Project, origami cranes with Sheila Asato
- 4:30-5:30: Annual business meeting (all clubs are required to have one member attend)
- 5:30-6:30: Social Hour
- 6:30-9:00: Plated dinner featuring the foreign exchange flag ceremony and student talent show, and comedian Scott Novotny
- 9:00-10:30: Dessert buffet and coffee, networking
