The Rotary International Global Alumni Service to Humanity Award, given each year at the Rotary International Conference, recognizes people who have made significant contributions to humanity. Every Rotary district can nominate one candidate for their Zone, and each Zone selects one candidate for the top award. This year, District 5950 nominated fellow Rotarian Linda Stuart.

Linda  is currently the Director of Global Citizens Network, an international non-profit organization that works to promote peace, justice and respect through cross-cultural understanding and global cooperation. In 2010, Linda joined the Minneapolis #9 Rotary (who sponsored her as an Alumni), and is active on several committees.

This nomination formally recognizes her for using her Ambassadorial Scholarship degree and life experience to spread the values of the Rotary Foundation. Linda exemplifies the value of RI investing in individuals, as she is not only an active, dedicated Rotarian, she is an advocate for responsible travel, global peace and Service Above Self.

If you know of other Ambassadorial Scholars, Peace Fellows and Group Study Exchange participants, please contact Carol MacDonald, Alumni Committee Chair and Burnsville Breakfast Rotarian, at 952-857-9392.  See Alumni Committee webpage for more information.
