The Macquarie Equity and Diversity Unit, in partnership with Hunters Hill Rotary, invite you to an evening of creativity and inspiring discussion in celebration of International Women’s Day 2015.

Funds raised support Rotary Hunters Hill international aid projects, with a range of women’s Fair trade stalls displaying and selling items on the night.

MC: Global social impact entrepreneur Zoe Lamont, CEO and founder of 10thousandgirl, an initiative to increase financial literacy in young women.
Keynote: Chinese Deputy Consul-General Ms Tang Ying will discuss the Beijing +20 review and speak about the blueprint for advancing women’s rights developed in 1995 at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women.
Panellists: Women who are significant catalysts for peace:
  • Miriam Lieberman, renowned Sydney singer/songwriter performing on 12-string kora.

  • Vera Sistenich, specialist emergency physician and Harvard Research Associate.

  • Patricia Garcia, international development worker in conflict zones worldwide.
Exhibition: Featuring portraits from the Positively Remarkable People: Ending Violence against Women exhibit. This project is led by Diane Macdonald (photography).
