Nominations close: Rotary Inspirational Women

NSW Rotary Districts, in partnership with Inner Wheel are holding a significant event to identify and honour outstanding women for their service to the community.

AWARDS AND CELEBRATION DINNER

Nominations are now being sought for the Rotary Inspirational Women of 2015, with awards being presented at a gala lunch at Doltone House, Jones Bay in Sydney on 8 March 2015.

SELECTION PROCESS

Each Rotary District and participating organization will select for the Award suitably qualified women who have shown exemplary service and dedication in one or more areas of community service including vocational service, the support of youth and meeting the needs of international and local communities.

ELIGIBILITY

·         Women from any age group, ethnicity or religion

·         Women who are quiet achievers/unsung heroes

·         Women of high ethical standard

·         Women who have demonstrated either a significant contribution to the community, (local, nationally or internationally) either within or outside their vocation,

·         Women who have given “Service Above Self” in their field of endeavour

·         Women who are inspirational role models

·         Women must live or work in the nominating District and be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents

·         Rotarians if the nomination is based solely on community service outside of Rotary

SELECTION CRITERIA

·         Demonstrated leadership, innovation and creativity

·         Personal contribution and community involvement

·         Contribution to the Australian community, vocational service either nationally or internationally

·         Voluntary work above and beyond paid employment

·         Nature and length of activity or service

·         Achievements as an individual or as part of a group/organization/in their own field of endeavor
