Lower Blue Mountains Rotary has joined Rotary International and 20th Century Fox for a special END POLIO NOW screening of The Second Best Marigold Hotel – sequel to the outstanding movie hit of several years ago.

While the movie (rated PG) commences in Cinemas around Australia on February 26, Glenbrook Cinema has allocated two screenings on Sunday, March 8, to support the END POLIO NOW campaign and Kangra Girls Hostel in Kangra, North India.

Lower Blue Mountains has a first class ‘fun’ evening planned – with free finger food and beverages for all theatre patrons before the two sessions!
Cinema proprietor Ron Curran has scheduled the two sessions on March 8 for 5.45 pm and 8.15 pm. Entertainment, food and beverages for the first session will be available from 5 to 5.30 pm; and then from 7.30 to 8 pm for the second session.

Bookings for the two sessions are now available from Rotary’s booking officer Karalyn Brown – 0410 618 939 – or email smudge@tpg.com.au . The all inclusive price of $20 per person covers beverages, finger food and the movie ticket.

The charity screening is perfectly timed as seven members of Lower Blue Mountains Rotary are currently in India assisting with mass immunisation of children against Polio in northern India. The Kangra Girls Hostel is a wonderful institution providing hope for girls from underprivileged families within India’s lowest caste group. Lower Blue Mountains has been providing vital assistance for several years.

They will return in time for the charity night and will add plenty of colour and fun with their traditional Indian costumes. Rotary is especially keen to see representatives of the Indian communities in and around Penrith take part.
