Nikki Brown from the Asylum Seeker's Centre in Newtown is a volunteer with the employment solutions program and will present on how the wider community can help with mentoring, contacts and employment opportunities for asylum seekers granted work visas by the government.

Gaining employment a vital step for asylum seekers in regaining financial stability and integrating with their new community.  As most do not have access to Centrelink benefits, they are very motivated to find work.
