TRF-2021 Gala: "Celebrating our Foundation!"

Promoting the Gala:
  • Rotary Foundation need MORE than doubled in the last 12 months!
  • Even if you have already donated $100 USD, please consider a further donation... the world needs Rotary.
  • Great event planned, Rotary dignitaries and world-famous celebrities.
  • BEST PRACTICE: Most success when you get a "Champion" in every club, that will ask for a minute or two at each club meeting to promote!
  • Make sure your people know to keep checking the Zone website for most current info and updates.

Promoting your District Event:
  • We have been missing our fellowship for more than a year... let's come together to celebrate TRF Successes!
  • Share a meal - support a local take-out restaurant!
Sponsorship Opportunities:
  • If you have contacts in business (that has NOT suffered a lot during the pandemic) promote sponsorship.
  • Research by our partners (Stay-at-Home Fundraising) indicates that 85% of ALL sponsors in last year's virtual events say they received more value than supporting in-person events, and 100% of ALL sponsors say they would do it again in future events.
  • Any sponsor that you get will lead to a donation to The Rotary Foundation that will be fully credited to your district (contributing to your DDF Share funds in 3 years).

  • Series of Emails sent throughout district...
    • Promo Letter 1 - Sent to entire district membership:
      • 3 messages... (a) Why TRF is great, (b) How inexpensive it is to donate, and (c) The fun we will have at the Gala!
    • Promo Letter 2 - Sent to a select group of district volunteers & club reps:
      • Sent to club-reps where names provided, to club Presidents when name not available
      • 2 messages... (a) Reinforced marketing of the Fundraising Gala, and (b) Encouraged promotion of the District post-Gala event.
    • Promo Letter 3 - Sent to district volunteers & club reps:
      • Sent to same group as letter 2
      • Primarily sharing a link for a WEEKLY Q&A (i.e. "Office Hour" where I commit to be available on a open Zoom call for 1 hour every Friday where they can come for any questions

"Gala Promo for Clubs" (4:45)
Event Chair Peter Schultz made this short video which was sent to every one of the clubs in District 5060.  The request is for clubs to show this short ~5-minute video at one or more of their club meetings in the coming weeks.  The message encourages participation, and the short "Intro to the TRF Gala" video above is embedded in the message.
