The Zones 28 & 32 Public Image Award is designed to help Rotary clubs and districts strengthen their public image through practical, achievable actions that build long-term visibility and credibility.
Throughout the Rotary year, clubs will complete a series of Public Image Challenges released every two months. Each challenge focuses on essential public image fundamentals—helping your club create a clear strategy, tell compelling stories, and consistently showcase the good you do in your community.
These step-by-step activities are ideal for Public Image Chairs, committees, and club leaders, and are designed to:

Strengthen and protect Rotary’s brand

Improve storytelling across digital platforms

Inspire engagement, membership growth, and pride
Clubs that complete the challenges will earn recognition for Public Image excellence at the Zone level.
How the Public Image Challenges Work

A new set of challenges is released every two months

Each challenge includes clear action items and practical guidance

Clubs complete the tasks and submit proof through a simple Google Form

Progress builds throughout the year, creating a sustainable public image system—not just one-off posts
Action Item 1: Public Image Audit
Purpose: Establish a strong foundation by understanding and organizing your club’s existing public image assets.
Step 1: Conduct a Club Public Image Audit
Review and document your club’s current resources, including:

Website(s)

Social media accounts

Email addresses and email marketing tools

Cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)

Print materials (brochures, banners, signage)
As part of this audit, be sure to:

Identify who has access to each platform
-
Confirm usernames, passwords, and admin permissions
-
Ensure branding is correct, consistent, and up to date across all platforms (logos, colors, messaging)
This audit helps protect your club’s digital assets, improves continuity during leadership transitions, and sets your Public Image team up for success.

Purpose: Create outward-facing content that clearly communicates Rotary’s value to the community.
